He has announced a UK tour this summer to support the upcoming release of his new EP called 'Sticks and Stones'. I'm going to be there. Not at all of the dates. Just one. Obviously.
Leeds Cockpit (June 11) Cambridge Junction (12) Northampton Roadmender (13) Nottingham Rescue Rooms (14) Newcastle Stage 2 (16) Aberdeen Moshulu (17) Edinburgh Studio 24 (18) Coventry Kasbah (19) Bristol Thekla (21) Manchester Moho Live (23) London Electric Ballroom (24)
I find myself wearing trainers less and less these days, usually opting for a smarter alternative. The guys at folk have been toutedas the 3rd best clothing retailer in the world y +1 Magazine. Also been featured in The Independent, Guardian, GQ and every other great publisher. They are basically amazing. Have a look at some visual goodness of their footwear in action.
Shout out to Phil over at AwardTour for giving me the heads up about this interesting, creative and quite funny internet tv series going on in LA. 'Maestro Knows' is the name, so get in the game....basically watch the video below. Episode #6.
We made a music video for this brilliant Kanye track a couple of months ago, it was the first piece of video content we properly released as TropicalTV.co.uk; and really set the standard. Here's what our Moc version looked like.
And now Hype Williams has teamed up with Kanye West & Young Jeezy to create this...
I don't really like Rn'B, think its a bit boring. But this is quite a nice song! If you know me, or know the blog, you will know we don't put things up just because they are 'nice songs'...the main reason I am posting this is because my boy Jack Frsh directed it, and it is bloody brilliant.
I'm only bringing this up because I was reading reviews for Seth Rogen's new film Observe and Report, which is apparently a dark comedy. Observe and Report has a fairly lackluster IMDb rating, but is generally getting good reviews. Although I haven't seen the film, hearing about it reminds me of The Cable Guy, which is actually an Apatow flick also. It was critically destroyed and is the butt of many jokes, however, if it was out now I think the reviews would be favourable, to be honest. At the time I think critics were bored of Jim Carrey and Carrey fans expected something like Ace Ventura. Basically this is just a rant to say that The Cable Guy is a good film, one of Jim Carrey's best, along with The Trueman Show and Eternal Sunshine..., watch it and judge again. Tell me what you think of it.
Simon Amstell has quit Never Mind the Buzzcocks ladies and gentleman. He wants to concentrate on his stand-up, but personally I reckon it's politics - he will be the Lib Dem candidate for London Mayor next election. Next series will just have guest hosts again i believe, in the mean tine enjoy this picture of his face:
I just came across this film and apparently it's on the same level as Superbad, same director but I think it's more of a comedy/drama. It's out in the summer, here's the trailer:
It looks like a great episode. Once again the losties will be tested, factions will be made, and we will all know where Kate's loyalties lie... But lets be honest, we don't really care about that bitch (we do) but what we really wanna know is -

I don't know about you, but I effing love Dexter. Series 3 starts on FX Channel this Friday. It's aired in the US already of course, but that doesn't matter, we don't mind. Just watch. It's so good I'd recommend buying the first two serieses from the Zavvi or something.
Not sure if I like it. I ate it all and at the end thought - "This isn't that nice". The story of me purchasing this 'Bombay Bad Boy' flavoured Pot Noodle all started Months ago, maybe September/October of O eight. I bought the classic Chicken & Mushroom pot noodle, and while the kettle was boiling, the small bottle of Nando's Peri Peri Sauce in my fridge caught my eye. Months later and I'm emptying half a bottle into each Chicken & Mushroom pot noodle I consume. Well recently I have been without the Peri, I tried to recreate the high by sprinkling some Cayenne Pepper into my 'noodle - not the same. So today I went into the shop, Bombay Bad Boy it is - not the same.
Anyone want some brand new Tropical action? (yeah!) Well here is some of that effing stuff right here. We have two other videos in the pipeline that you should watch out for. This is the funniest so far, in my opinion, quite a few notches up from 'The Race'.
Spotify is the future, you can listen to vast amounts of music regardless of genre, SADLY you can't download the tracks but it works great if you want to listen to some new/old stuff on your PC
Before you could only download Spotify if you got an invitation or if you knew someone that knows someone.. that knows someone..
but now invitations are no longer required.. so Download and Enjoy
It was sad times when the great man Russell Brand left got kicked off the radio but now he's back with Noel Gallagher, sadly for one-show..
Sunday 19th April talkSPORT
He should be doing podcasts, would actually pay for that.. would prally beat Gervais stuff
Check out his blog if you don't already.. he's got some good videos on there, he dosen't believe in sharing videos.. so you gotta go to his blog to watch 'em..
I was directed to Kanye's blog. The dream collaboration has haappened.
Yeezy said on his blog(in capitals with no punctuation obviosuly),
"I WAS WORKING ON THIS DOPE ASS SONG WITH JARED AND BRANDON STOPPED BY. I PLAYED THEM SOME OF THE NEW JEEZY BEATS AND BEFORE EVERYBODY BOUNCED BRANDON HOPPED ON THE KEYBOARD AND I HOPPED ON THE MPC. SHIT WAS DOPE. OH AND YES THOSE ARE SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS ON BRANDON'S SHIRT BY DRIES VAN NOTEN."
Soon enough you'll be able to play some legendary Beatles songs on your Xbox or PS3[you actually have a PS3 .. smh]
"The Beatles: Rock Band will allow fans to pick up the guitar, bass, mic or drums and "experience The Beatles extraordinary catalog of music through gameplay that takes players on a journey through the legacy and evolution of the band's legendary career,"
I love this video so much I just had to post it. I remember first hearing it at the end of summer last year, and now it just reminds me of summer. I'm also posting this now because Florence & The Machine are going to blow up in a big way this summer. That is common knowledge. I also wouldn't mind inpregnating her and making musical babies.
Whilst channel bouncing, i glimpsed Antique Roadshow which reminded me of a great song Joe Cornish from the Adam & Joe duo made, it's pretty amazing and lyrically outstanding..
"a boy from ghana with a stuffed llama. here's a farmer with a suit of armour "
When Russel Brand left 6 Music, i left that place for a looong time.. then returned when Russel Howard had a show, but left once again when he moved on to bigger things.. but whenAdam & Joe got that Saturday slot, been listening since..
The Song-Wars segment and "Text The Nation" theme tune is enough for me to listen every weekend..
Just stumbled upon this in the "Videos being watched right now..." section of YouTube.
Drinking game anyone? Take a shot every time he says "homo." It's funny because he's obviously not all there. I love YouTube freaks. I might check out some more of his videos.
New South Park piss-take, they are always so outlandish and funny that they get away with it. I'm sure Kanye will love it. Although 'gay-kanye' jibes are a bit obvious, just because he likes fashion and ting. Maybe the guys at South Park should have been more creative on that side, even so, it's brilliantly funny and the song is kind of amazing.
This post is dedicated to the fans. I was planning out in my head what albums are coming out soon, and thought I'd do a blog post about it.
Asleep in the Bread Aisle by the Bill Murray of rap Asher Roth is out on the 20th of April, which in regular people speak is 'very soon'. You may have already heard 'Lark on My Go Kart' and unless you've been living under a sound-proof rock, you've almost definately heard 'I Love College'. Many of the tracks have leaked, I've heard a couple but really I'm waiting for the album before iIjudge - cop 20/04.
Another album in definately anticipating is eagerly awaited fourth album from The Strokes, now unlike Asher Roth who's album is out in little over a week. This album is still in production, who knows when it will be released? It's The Strokes, probably be a year or so, but I'm anticipating it nonetheless.
Let's stop with all these Americans now, and have a little chat about how much I'm bloody looking forward to the new album from Mr Hudson - 'Straight No Chaser', scheduled for a summer '09 release, this Kanye West produced album gets my juices flowing - just the thought of it. We can agree that 'There Will Be Tears' is pleasurable on the old ear holes. I'm expecting big things for you Hudson, reach for them stars.
There we go, I hope everyone is happy with that, while I'm hear I will add that when Jamie T and The Cribs drop there new albums it will be a good day for music. Also Blueprint 3.
Due to my friends drunken vibes during a New Years party, i lost my coin wallet & haven't deemed any wallet worthy of replacing the previous.. so for a while my pockets was good enough to hold any currency i had..
until now.. i present to you jimi
the colour had to be tropical..
Welcome to the team jimi my pockets did feel a lil empty.
